What is DUI?

What is DUI?
DUI put simply is operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. What does this mean to you? If you even have keys to your vehicle, and are in it, you could be convicted of DUI if other facts suggest you have been driving. This does not mean you will be convicted, just that you could be. Many lawyers neglect to tell you that DUI is more than just driving. It is when an officer has reasonable suspicion to suspect you have been driving under the influence. Been in a wreck? It may be reasonable to believe you were driving the car if no one else is there.
But... if...
Yes, this is scary, frustrating, and most of all not a pleasant issue to deal with. However, there are defenses.
Moreover, if you are charged wit DUI and find an attorney who will fight for you, this does not have to be the end of the world. A good attorney can fight for reduced charges, dismissals, reduced fines, less public work servce, less jail, and many other things.
If you have been charged with DUI, you need a lawyer that knows the process and the system. If you need a surgeon you hire a doctor. If you have a legal issue, you hire a lawyer. It is a simple and valuable choice. You attorney should be available, accessible, and knowledgable. Hale Law Group wants to fight for you, no if's, and's or but's.
Why DUI?
You've heard the horror stories. We all know that we should not drive after having drank alcohol. What is legally drunk? It is the same for everyone... kind of. A blood alcohol volume of 0.08% is legally unde rthe influence (drunk), but being under the influence can be drastically different from person to person.
A man weighing two hundred pounds that drinks two beers in an hour could be legally drunk. How many of us have watched a friend drink three or four beers during a football game in the first quarter? Many of us I would imagine. This friend is likely under the influence of alcohol, and legally unable to drive, even to pick up the hot wings for the game. This is no joking matter.
Everyone has seen the crash footage, they know how dangerous DUI is, but do not realize how easy it is to be legally under the influence of alcohol.
Why a lawyer?
You have read this much. You know that you face an uphill battle if you have been charged with DUI. HOWEVER, a good lawyer can help you defeat the odds. The odds are based on people charged with DUI, and does not seperate represented clients from non-represented (or represented by a public defender).
It is our belief and experience at Hale Law Group that you are better served with a private lawyer that can fight for you, than an attorney who sees 200 people on a daily basis.
Do you generally leave anything to chance? Why would you leave this to chance? Call Hale Law Group today, talk to Joshua Hale directly, and know that he will attend every court hearing for your case. Your case will not be handed off to a new lawyer, and you will always be able to speak directly with Attorney Hale.
